How we calculate the Trust Score
Every clinic on Rated Clinics gets a Trust Score from 0 to 100. It's based on real, verifiable signals - not advertising spend or paid placement.
Profile completeness
Up to 40 pointsA complete listing gives patients confidence the clinic is active and contactable.
- +10 - Website on file
- +8 - Email contact on file
- +7 - Phone number on file
- +5 - Address on file
- +10 - Detailed clinic description (120+ characters)
Verification
Up to 30 points+30 - Clinic has uploaded regulatory documents (GDC, GMC, NMC or international equivalents) and our team has verified them.
Practitioners listed
Up to 10 pointsActive practitioners with names, qualifications and where applicable GDC/GMC numbers.
- +5 - At least one practitioner listed
- +10 - Three or more practitioners listed
Patient reviews
Up to 20 points+2 per approved native review (capped at 20 points). Imported star ratings from external sources do not count.
Trust score tiers
What about paid placement?
Paid plans (Promoted listings, Featured slots) are clearly labelled and never affect the Trust Score. We don't take money in exchange for higher scores or rigged reviews - that's the foundation of the platform.
